Joey is July's Kitty of the Month
Joey is a medium-sized black mixed breed, almost 1 year old, male kitty and very handsome.
Joey's mom Amanda says he is an energetic, young cat, and a very special cat to her. She knows for a fact that black furred cats are the least likely of all cats to be adopted, so when she first saw him in foster care she knew that he would never be one of the first felines in a shelter to be given a new home. When she first met him, he plopped down in her lap, purred, gave her kitty kisses on her fingers, looked up at her with those big yellow eyes, and she knew that he was the kitty for her. |
He has always been a joy in her life, playing and running around, having fun and making her smile. Joey is a true mommy's boy too, as he always follows her around and loves for her to carry him. He also is a complete lap cat and is always there to give her a cuddle and a snuggle when she needs one. Giving kisses on her nose, hugging her, doing work with her, soothing her with his company, meowing frequently with that adorable squeaky meow of his, and making her feel happy when she is down, these are all things that he often does.
Joey also has an adopted sister and an adopted brother who he lives with, both of which he loves very much. Joey is very good and kind with both of them. He enjoys to cuddle and take naps with his brother, and get grooming and love from his sister. She originally wanted a new friend for Jay, his brother, as he was getting rather lonely and often bored after his birth-brother, who she adopted him with, passed away from an incurable illness. Human company is nice and all, but Jay needed a new little brother. His human mom also says Joey is the sweetest little kitty that she have ever met, and he couldn't have done a better job making Jay happy. He will remain in her heart forever as her handsome little fur-baby. ♥
